Alex Till, Chairman of the National Enterprise Network (NEN), and Carol Daniels, Operations Director, met with representatives of the Chartered Association of Business Schools at their London offices on 21 May 2024 to discuss potential partnership opportunities.
The discussions centered around collaborative efforts on initiatives such as the Help to Grow: Management Courses, Alumni Network, and Essentials programmes.
Current Initiatives
Heatmap Project
NEN is developing a comprehensive heatmap that will identify Small Business Charter (SBC)-accredited schools and NEN Members nationally. This tool aims to assess existing collaborations between NEN members and regional business schools, highlighting established resources and networks. Once completed, the heatmap will facilitate deeper engagement and strategic discussions.
Help to Grow: Management Alumni Network
Participants of the Help to Grow: Management course are automatically enrolled in the Alumni Network upon completing 75% of their modules. The Alumni team supports participants through a variety of events, webinars, newsletters, and podcasts throughout the year, fostering continuous engagement with both their peers and the Business Schools. This network also serves to keep alumni connected to local business support opportunities.
The Chartered Business Schools are actively seeking local business leaders to contribute content and speak at events. Through its members, NEN is well-positioned to identify and recommend appropriate volunteers for these opportunities with its extensive connections within local business communities.
Looking Ahead
Concluding the meeting, the Chartered Business Schools agreed to keep NEN informed of upcoming events and content needs, paving the way for future collaboration and mutual support.
