Allia has been running since 1999 and has 3 core areas of activity: social investment bond issuance (Allia C&C), business centre management (Allia Future Business Centres), and impact services (Allia Impact Ltd – the applicant).
Allia Impact mainly exists to help start and grow social impact businesses – a mix of social enterprises and social ventures. (We also have innovation projects on modular housing to tackle homelessness, and agetech products to support elderly people in social housing).
We run programmes for pre-starts and potential social entrepreneurs to explore their idea and take steps to register and start trading. Our Grow programme helps existing ventures to kick start a new stage of growth. Our Impact Accelerator works with high growth potential social ventures. And we run a variety of programmes for local authorities and corporate partners to support local enterprises.
