Alex Till, NEN Chair attended the Enterprise Research Centre’s Research Showcase 2026 which took place on 3 June at Warwick Business School’s London campus at The Shard, bringing together researchers, policymakers and sector partners to explore the latest evidence on entrepreneurship, innovation and business growth.
The programme highlighted cutting‑edge insights across several major themes, including the experiences of nascent entrepreneurs, gender differences in entrepreneurial mindsets, long‑term patterns in job creation and destruction, and the economic impact of publicly funded research and innovation.
Presentations from Mark Hart, Kevin Mole, Neha Prashar, Halima Jibril and Ully Yunita Nafizah showcased the depth and breadth of ERC’s current research portfolio, from the challenges faced by under‑represented founders in the first 12–24 months of business creation, to new evidence on how knowledge spillovers shape innovation in micro‑businesses.
The event closed with reflections from ERC Director Stephen Roper on future research priorities and forthcoming work on late payments, innovation trends and global entrepreneurship attitudes.
