NEN aims to expand reach by connecting with CEDOS

On 28 May, Alex Till, Chairman of the National Enterprise Network (NEN), and Carol Daniels, Operations Director met with Rob Wadsworth, Programme Manager from CEDOS to discuss future collaborative opportunities.

In the meeting, each organisation presented their organisation’s purpose and their various initiatives, exploring potential avenues for closer cooperation.

CEDOS represents senior Economic Development professionals from the public sector across England. Their mission is to share knowledge and best practices, engage with senior decision-makers and sector experts, and influence economic development policy.

CEDOS accomplishes this through a range of activities, such as: hosting six annual Lunch and Learn topic-based information sessions, Q&A sessions with key decision-makers, academics and other professionals, partnering and networking with local authorities to share knowledge, newsletters, research, supporting active training, development and recruitment, member networking, responding to consultations and evidence requests, etc.

Carol Daniels said: “Collaborating with an organisation that shares our dedication to supporting and developing our members has been truly inspiring. We are eager to explore new ways to create mutual benefits and extend our networks for the betterment of all our members.”

As a starting point for this new collaboration, NEN will participate in the next CEDOS Lunch and Learn session in September, where they will present further details about NEN to CEDOS members.
