NEN Chairman Alex Till and Operations Director Carol Daniels met with Lord Iain McNicol, a prominent member of Jonathon Reynolds’, Labour shadow Minister for Business and Trades team.
The informal, yet highly productive, meeting took place on 6 February, 2024 at the House of Lords, and focused on addressing the challenges faced by small enterprises and exploring ways in which policy adjustments could spark innovation and foster growth.
Expressing genuine interest, Lord McNicol encouraged regular communication and requested NEN to keep him updated on their initiatives and findings. As a tangible outcome of the meeting, NEN committed to providing Lord McNicol with its comprehensive ‘Manifesto for Change’ report.
This report presents a compilation of case studies drawn from businesses supported by NEN members, providing a real-world perspective on the challenges and successes of small enterprises.
