A chance to reset
Starting in July and running until September, NEN members Be Inspired are offering full-funded places on unique Resilience programme, specifically for social entrepreneurs and heads of micro-charities.
Having piloted the programme in 2021, the team at Be Inspired have secured funding from the Postcode Lottery to provide the new five-stage course for free. The initial focus is on the mindset and wellbeing of the individual who leads the organisation. Tailored content and bespoke guidance are delivered remotely, in a truly flexible format.

Because everyone’s journey is different, build the modules that fit your needs
Participants on the Resilience Programme can expect 7 workshops, delivered on a 1-1 basis, by a dedicated social enterprise expert. Taught content is reinforced and applied during 3 group sessions, where small cohorts of social leaders across the UK can connect and develop their own peer-to-peer support network.
In addition to the 6 week intensive intervention, Resilience programme participants will be given free access to the SE Folk Platform, which includes knowledge hubs, social groups, templates and advice.

Rob Whitwood is the Founder of Be Inspired leads on the Resilience Programme. Rob said; “having come through Covid-19 – which devastated so many small organisation – we’re finding that a large number of social leaders have really overstretched themselves during the pandemic – both personally and financially. The rising cost of living is creating more and more pressure on income generation and social enterprises and small charities are struggling to stay afloat. In micro charities and social enterprises, it’s often one person shouldering all of that burden.”
This programme is unique because it supports the individual first. The content and 1-1 advice enables them to fully ‘reset’ and go on to make rational business decisions for their charity or social enterprise, without causing any more damage to their own health or their personal finances.
Finding a way forward starts with these 5 themes:
- Resetting you: advice and guidance on how to improve your mental health, psychological resilience, your general wellbeing and your personal financial security
- Refreshing purpose: a detailed look at the mission of your organisation
- Find me more time: tackling the challenges associated with time-management
- Find me more funding: often the biggest barrier to success for any social cause organisation
- Roadmap a positive future: whatever direction you choose to take next, you’ll be supported
