For many SMEs, access to specialist mental health support can be limited. Smaller organisations often lack the resources available to larger employers, despite facing similar workplace wellbeing challenges.
Able Futures is a nationwide strategic partnership, led by Ingeus UK, delivering the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) across England, Scotland and Wales.
The service provides up to nine months of confidential support from qualified mental health professionals for eligible employees, managers, apprentices, business owners, sole traders and self-employed people, at no cost to the individual or employer.
Through practical, personalised support, Able Futures helps people experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood and other common mental health difficulties that may be affecting their work.
For enterprise agencies, growth hubs, business advisers and membership organisations, Able Futures offers an additional way to support the businesses they work with, helping employers access specialist support that can contribute to healthier workplaces and a more resilient workforce.
Able Futures is keen to work alongside organisations across the enterprise support sector to raise awareness of the support available and help more SMEs and their employees and apprentices access the service.
